Recent PhD and RA Positions in 2026

We are seeking 1-2 PhD/RA students for Spring/Fall 2026, in following areas:

(1) Electrical machine design (FEA & Prototype testing) or Motor control

(2) Power converters (DC/DC or DC/AC, PCB design and prototype testing)

The applicants are expected to have rich experience in the above areas.

Full scholarship with 15000/month will be offered for Ph.D. students by the supervisor. Other requirements from the HKUST(GZ) can be found in the official website.

Prospective MPhil Students

All MPhil applicants should submit the application form officially to the Red Brid MPhil (RBM) Program of HKUST(GZ). The review and decision will be conducted independently by the RBM committee.

Our research lab welcomes MPhil students who already received the offer to conduct research early in EPES Lab. The research topic for MPhil students can be selected according to the student’s interests. Currently, the MPhil students studying in EPES Lab have good publication records in top journal papers.

Full scholarship with 10000/month will be offered for MPhil students. The scholarship is funded by the RBM Program.

Prospective Research Assistants (RAs)

The RA position is often offered as a transition position before the Ph.D. enrollment. Applicants with rich industrial experience and good academic background, but lacking research experience, may also be considered for RA positions, as an opportunity to conduct research for possible future Ph.D. applications.

Prospective Postdoc Researchers
